All colleges in America now accept either ACT or SAT. In fact, some colleges accept ACT results as a replacement for SAT. Which test a student should take is a critical and individual decision. ACT CLASSES

SUMMER BOOT CAMPS: SMALL GROUPS • 32 hours • $2,000

Vogel Prep's Boot Camps are (32 hours) intensive skill and strategy building programs that have proven to elevate student performance in all aspects of the ACT - including Math, Science, Reading, and English! Learn Vogel Prep's ground-breaking strategies during our one-week boot camp leading up to the official test date. Start with a diagnostic test. All students must have either a previous test result or a diagnostic before the class to qualify. Limited to 6 students per group.

ACT SUMMER intense 4 WEEKEND CLASS • 24 hours • $1,700

Skill- and strategy-building programs to help students prepare for the ACT. Vogel Prep’s ACT Preparation Program teaches a combination of skills and strategies that give students their greatest opportunity for success in the four areas of the ACT Exam. These intense classes (24 hours) take place over 4 weekends, leading up to the test dates. Vogel Prep’s methods for improving scores have proven extremely effective. Many of our students have been able to reach the school of their dreams or obtain substantial scholarships. All students must have either a previous ACT test result or diagnostic result, that meets a minimum requirement of achievement before the start of class to qualify. If the student does not meet the minimum requirement we encourage them to take a review class in the area of weakness before the intensive class. Limited to 6-8 students per group.

SAT CLASSES

SAT Summer intense 4 WEEKEND CLASS • 24 hours • $1,700

SUCCESS SERIES

MATH REview for Act or SAT • $800

Designed for high school students who want to master math on the college entrance exams. Taught by the same teachers who teach SAT or ACT test prep. Vogel Prep students will review the fundamentals of math that are tested on both SAT and ACT and will get to practice with lots of exercises and quizzes.  A discussion on tips to avoid pitfalls on these tests will also be included. This is a great review for students that will be doing the SAT or ACT and need to refresh some of the concepts before starting test prep classes. Limited to 6 students per group.

GRAMMAR REVIEW FOR ACT OR SAT • $800

Designed for high school students who want to master grammar on the college entrance exams. Taught by the same teachers who teach SAT or ACT test prep. Vogel Prep students will learn most types of questions asked in most standardized tests and will get to practice with lots of exercises and quizzes. A discussion on tips to avoid pitfalls in the SAT or ACT will also be included. Limited to 6 students per group.

Middle School math & english foundational skill REVIEW • $600

This 1-week class is designed to review key concepts from the middle school years and prepare students for success in high school. This class also serves as a great introduction to mastering standardized test at an early age and for students (7th and 8th grade) who plan to take the HSPT in the future.

LEARNING & STUDY SKILLS • $800

To be successful, students must master a variety of skills, including academic preparation, time management/organization, and emotional self-management/executive functioning skills. Vogel Prep’s interactive, 10-hour workshop provides students with the tools needed to improve academic performance, successfully manage the demands of school, harness the power of learning styles, and successfully navigate school, life, and work challenges. Topics include:

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SERIES

COLLEGE APPLICATION ESSAY WRITING SEMINAR • $800

The college applications essay is an important way to stand out from the many other college-bound applicants.  A good essay will help your student’s application stand out from the thousands that colleges receive. Vogel Prep’s hands-on College Essay Writing course covers the essential elements of writing a successful college essay from scratch, finishing the seminar with a sound essay draft. We will discuss strategies for translating personal experiences and aspirations into a specific and engaging essay. For grades 9-12.

School Selection • $500

Vogel Prep’s College Choice Seminar will guide students in their college search by encouraging them to grapple with tough questions: What is important to you?  Where are your career interests? What activities do you enjoy? What type of college experience would you like to have? Students will leave this seminar with a list of colleges that may be good fits along with entrance requirements and timelines. Students should bring a résumé and laptop computer with them to the first meeting.
